The Cattery

Located on a higher terrace away from the kennels are our specially designed cat chalets. Under the shade of an ancient oak tree the cattery enjoys a healthy environment of sun and shade. For cooler nights the electrically heated beds are automatically switched on.

The Kennels

Your pet should settle quickly in the relaxed atmosphere of our kennels. Purpose built, the accommodation is spacious and comfortable, warm in winter and cool in summer. For an extra charge each kennel can also be individually heated or air conditioned.

Pet Taxi

Our Pet Taxi is fully equipped for collection and delivery of your pets throughout the Costa del Sol.

Please note we do not provide land transport to the UK or other countries in the EU, however
we can provide information on International pet relocations & advice on land transport between Spain and the UK.

About Us

Petcare Pet Hotel is located in a peaceful valley in the mountains of Andalucia to the south of Alhaurín el Grande. Whilst enjoying peace and quiet, wonderful scenery and clean air it is only thirty minutes away from the resorts of the Costa del Sol.

Petcare is owned and operated by Viv and Pam McCarthy who have many years experience in caring for animals. Accommodation is limited to 10 kennels and 11 Cat Chalets ensuring your pet receives individual attention. Pam and Viv believe extensive human contact allows your pet to enjoy their time away from home, rather than enduring it.

Your Pets

On arrival we take all details of your pets' likes and dislikes so we can preserve elements of their daily routine and also provide many of the comforts they enjoy at home. Any veterinary requirements or medication can be handled to the highest standard.

A pick up and delivery service is available in our specialised Pet Taxi. We cover all areas of the Costa del Sol and inland Andulucia. Prices for this service are available on request.

We also offer long term accommodation for both dogs and cats and are equipped to offer advice on the Pet Travel Scheme and current regulations for International Pet Travel.

Could not thank PetCare enough. They were wonderful, kind and helpful with our kitty who had never been in a cat hotel before.

New Visitor

We have used Viv and Pam more than once to look after our dogs (labrador and dachshund). The ‘rooms’ are a nice size and allow the dogs to see around while they are in there which helps to avoid boredom. The time out for play is in a lovely area that has lots for the dogs to explore and sniff. At the end of the visit, all the bedding is washed and returned clean - bonus!

Our experience with Viv was truly wonderful! Our elderly cat stayed at the hotel, and despite all the issues of last minute organization from halfway across Spain & all the other problems we encountered Viv was so helpful and accommodating, willing to go above and beyond, making what could have been complex & stressful situation into a nice, calm experience. He is so good with Smokey, and clearly cares about animals

Weekend Stopover

Our little jack russel spent two happy weeks here while we had to go back to UK. We could not have asked for a more well run, cheerful, pet friendly place....he was so well looked after and looked so bouncy and happy when we picked him up.....it was a pleasure to behold. I will never worry about leaving now....its such a relief! I would highly recommend Petcare Pet Hotel and its owners Viv and Pam who are a delightful couple!
